How to check if there's an nbn outage in your area
Where to check for a known nbn or Lightning IP outage in your area before you start troubleshooting your own equipment.
Before troubleshooting your modem or router, it's worth checking whether a known outage or maintenance event is affecting your area. It can save you time trying to fix something that isn't a fault at your end.
- Visit our network status page It lists current and recent outages and planned maintenance, updated as we receive information from nbn Co and our upstream carriers.
- Search by suburb or address Narrow the results to see anything affecting your area.
- Check the updates Each listed event includes progress updates and an estimated resolution time where available.
If nothing is listed for your area but your service is still down, restart your modem and nbn equipment, then contact us. Not every issue appears on the network status page straight away.
